We transform functional items into beautiful, joy-filled pieces—blank journals, coffee-dyed papers, and thoughtfully designed cell phone stands designed to bring style and intention to your daily routine. All pieces are hand made and crafted to capture individualized styles and themes. We gather our inspiration from unique findings across the South and add our functional twist to everyday items.

We are stretching our furniture art to another level in September!! What could it be, you ask…well, let me tell you!

Our cousin Tom Teitsma Sr. and Rocky Lawson Teitsma has the coolest house in Portland, Michigan. It is a Colonial -Style home with the interior decorated in early American. One room is designated as “Tom’s room” that contains a cool bar and tavern-type furniture & accessories. This is where we get to use our crazy artistic skills!

Most people do not think much about closet doors-just paint them white and move on. Not Rocky! She came up with an idea to make the closet door in Tom’s room to look like an antique safe. 🤔 Can that be done? We will see!!

We have been busy exploring, researching, and developing our approach to make their wishes come true. Here are photos of our inspiration and items we have gathered so far. Still searching for the right filigree stencils!

This project will require extra help from friends and lots of patience as we apply various finishes and embellishments.

Lingerie Chest project in the shop today! It’s all about adding a bit of interest without going too far.

Our client, Charlotte, requested a creme and white paint combo with ghost stripping. I added a pearl metallic paint over the white stripes for a little shimmer and it is looking good! Had a FaceTime chat with Charlotte to give her a peak at the finishes and confirm we are meeting her expectations.
