With an abundance of bridges to maintain and DOTD crews busy repaving Park and Main Street, we know getting across the bayou can be a challenge. So Terrebonne Parish is excited to launch a brand‑new transportation solution:

The Pilot Pirogue Program!

Think of it as your very own bayou taxi. Our highly skilled parish employees will be rowing residents across the bayou, up to three passengers per trip.

Fare is only 25 cents, payable via Venmo, Cash, or Credit Card.

Pirogue map, pickup spots, and full schedule will be released in the following days.

To celebrate this exciting new program, we are happy to offer free rides on April 31, 2026!
