Yesterday was one of those special memories.
After a thoughtful suggestion from an incredible client, we hosted our own version of “take your parents to work day”—inviting our families into an active construction site to see firsthand what we really do.
In over 15 years, this was a first.
The scale, the decisions, the constant movement… it can feel overwhelming to many. But for us, this is where we thrive. We feed off the energy, the urgency, the problem-solving, and even the tough conversations that come with bringing a vision to life.
We’re intentional about protecting our clients’ privacy, which made this experience even more meaningful. Our families were even able to meet our client—something incredibly rare, and a true reflection of the trust and bond that’s built throughout the process. These relationships often grow into something much more like family.
After the tour, we continued the experience at one of our favorite lunch spots, The Silver Spoon—sharing a meal, stories, and a moment to reflect on just how special the day truly was.
To share that with our own families, in such a real and unfiltered way, was incredibly special.
(Don’s parents got the full picture hearing and seeing us work throughout the car ride and the long days we spend driving).
