Happy Monday, Friends!
I read something recently that said people will buy a t-shirt they love even if they don't need another t-shirt.
I laughed because it's been surprisingly true for Rae & Joy.
When I started Rae & Joy, I never intended to become a t-shirt maker. The heart of this business has always been journals and planners. But somewhere along the way, God gave me the vision to think bigger than paper and create collections—products that work together to encourage, inspire, and remind people of truth in different ways.
Those collections grew to include t-shirts, mugs, tumblers, notepads, coasters, and more.
And then something unexpected happened.
The t-shirt side of the business took on a life of its own.
Today, we still create shirts that coordinate with our journal collections, but we also design faith-based shirts and lots of custom shirts for families, churches, businesses, reunions, and special events.
And honestly? I love it.
There's something really fun about taking an idea that exists only in someone's head and turning it into something they can hold and wear. It's a challenge every single time, and I enjoy the creative process of figuring out how to bring someone's vision to life.
Even more than that, it's a privilege when customers come back again and again whenever they need something special. The trust they place in us is something I never take for granted.
So, no, I didn't set out to be a t-shirt maker.
I'm an accidental t-shirt maker.
But it has become a big part of Rae & Joy and a part of this journey that I genuinely love.
