For the Love of Art!
Even as a child, I was interested in anything that allowed me to be creative!
I took my first official art class in 2001 while attending nursing school at UACCM -under the instruction of Ms. Tina Lake. I fell in love with painting then and there and that passion hasn’t dwindled...but increased ten-fold!
The next fourteen years, I piddled with art and took a few workshops here and there but didn’t have a lot of time to spend doing what I truly loved to do. But after retiring from healthcare in 2014 and working as general manager for a 52 unit resort for a year, I decided it was time to slow down and spend some time doing what I loved to do!
So in October of 2015 I relocated to Stone County and began to pursue my art full-time. I was very blessed to have sat under the instruction of several excellent teachers; Adrianne Deckbar out of New Orleans, LA; Yvonne Sangster of Oklahoma; Leah Balowski, art instructor at the Ozarka College; and Mr. Duane Hada, gallery owner at Mountain Home, AR.
