As baseball season comes to a close, I’m reflecting on how much this season has meant to me. ⚾️

From sponsoring teams to coaching, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply interconnected our lives truly are. These athletes have taught me about resilience, teamwork, discipline, and joy in the everyday moments.

As the proud owner of Paula Dixon Design, I’m constantly reminded that both sports and interior design are about people. The strongest teams and the most meaningful homes are built with intention, trust, and connection.

Whether creating spaces for families to gather or encouraging young athletes to grow in confidence, it all comes back to investing in others and building something that lasts.

As a Jesus obeyer, I’m grateful for the reminder that we are called to serve, encourage, and uplift one another both on and off the field.

Not just with vision—but with intention.

This custom-designed island was never just about aesthetics. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to support how this home is truly lived in. A paper towel drawer, intentionally placed within reach of the sink. Pot and pan storage, positioned exactly where it’s needed—by the range and oven.

Because good design isn’t accidental. It’s planned, refined, and revisited until it’s just right.

Which brings us to the question—should elevations be part of the story?

We believe they should.
Because behind every finished space is a process—hours spent studying proportions, functionality, and flow. Elevations are where intention becomes reality.
