There are pieces you build, and then there are pieces that build themselves through you — this is one of those.
I started with an idea: take everything people love about a wreath and free it from “fall only” or “Christmas only.” No bold seasonal colors, no holiday clock ticking down to the day it gets boxed back up. Just natural texture — burlap, dried botanicals, soft neutral tones — designed to live on a door all year long.
The burlap base wraps a slim 14-inch metal frame, light enough for storm doors and space-saver entries where bulkier wreaths just won’t fit. Burlap flower accents are dressed with hand-placed pearl clusters, layered alongside dried pampas, baby’s breath, and soft magnolia leaves, all in muted creams and tans that won’t fight with your seasonal décor — they’ll just quietly belong, no matter the month.
The butterflies were the moment this piece came alive for me. They’re set on wire picks so they hover just off the burlap, like they actually landed mid-flight and decided to stay. Add a hand-tied burlap and lace bow with a pearl center, and the whole thing reads soft, romantic, and timeless — not trendy, not seasonal, just beautiful.
This one made me emotional to finish, because it’s exactly what I pictured before I ever touched a single piece of burlap. That’s the whole reason I do this — you tell me what you see, and I build it into something you can hang on your door and live with all year.
