Let’s have a little "burning" ♥️-to-♥️!
♥️🔥♥️
We all love that marathon glow and while my 14oz candles boast a massive 80 hours of burn time, that is a total—not a challenge!
Please do not try to burn it for 80 hours straight! We’re going for "cozy ambiance," not "preparing for a Viking funeral."🤪
To keep your home smelling amazing (and safe!), here are three rules to live by:
1. Give it a Trim ✂️
Before you re-light, trim that wick to about 1/4 inch. If you leave it long, the flame gets "extra" and starts producing soot. A trimmed wick means a cleaner burn and a longer-lasting scent!
2. The 4-Hour Rule ⏳
Think of your candle like a good workout—it needs a break! Never burn it for more than 4 hours at a time. If you let it go longer, the jar can get dangerously hot, and the wick might decide to take a swim (and "drown" in the wax). Give it some downtime to solidify before your next session.
3. Don't Ghost Your Candle 👻
We’ve all walked out of a room and forgotten our phone, our keys, or why we walked in there in the first place... but don't do that to your candle!
Never leave a burning candle unattended. If you’re leaving the room or heading to bed, blow it out. Your candle loves your company, but it’s not responsible enough to be left home alone. 👌
Keep those wicks short, your burn times reasonable and your house smelling fabulous!
Pro Tip: If you’re using a wood wick, make sure to snap off the charred black bits before re-lighting to keep that soothing crackle going strong!
