I’m starting to think about things to make for Mother’s Day! It’s coming up fast. If you are looking for a cross for your loved one I have two right now that are so colorful and pretty! Busy making items to take to my booth in Crockett on April 25th. This is a Blues Festival and sounds like it will be so much fun!
Bluebonnets are the flower of Texas so I figured I’d need one of those to go with me. This one is a larger piece at 10 inches across. And the white petals are made of faceted glass beads for an extra glisten. Cobalt blue really sets off the edging too!

This is my first project completed with my new glass. This iridescent purple and white was perfect for this stargazer lily for a special customer. The stamens (I think that’s what they’re called 🤪) are wire and give a 3D effect, and the dots are made with Testors enamel paint. I’ve never done a lily so this was a first.

Managed to combine taking my dear mother in law to a doctors appointment with an overdue trip to my favourite glass store Glassworks
I got a lot of very special discontinued and vintage pieces of glass from the owners own collection. Wow. That yellow Florentine is amazing. And that clear glass will make some gorgeous dragonfly wings! But everyone that knows me, knows I have a weakness for iridescent. And especially teal. So my favorite (and yes I purposefully used one British and one American favorite 🤪) is that unbelievable rippled teal iridescent. This is not made any more and you simply can’t find glass like this. I’m very tempted to go and get the other piece that Barb had 🤩

I became side tracked from my raccoon project because I had one more of the wooden frames left and I had to fill it. This time I decided on mermaid scales in teals and blues. And wow it catches the light!
If anyone if interested in this it is $80.
10x8 inches.
Otherwise, this will be at Debbie and I’s booth next month in Crockett.
