🎄🍂 Holiday project ideas!

We’re starting to plan out some builds for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and before I fill the garage with projects nobody asked for, I figured I’d let you guys help decide. 😂

These are a few ideas we’re considering making this holiday season — some Christmas decor, some Thanksgiving/hosting pieces, and a few things that can be used year-round.

Take a look through the picture and let me know which ones you’d actually be interested in!

Drop the number/name of your favorite in the comments — and if there’s enough interest, we may even turn one of these into our next GIVEAWAY. 👀🎁

And if there’s something you’d like to see that isn’t pictured, throw that in the comments too. I’m always looking for an excuse to buy more lumber.

Anyway, here’s a bunch of stuff I may or may not end up building. 🪵

When I started this page, I mostly just needed somewhere to post the things I was making so my personal Facebook didn’t turn into 90% sawdust.

Now there are 500+ of you here following along, which is pretty damn cool.

So thank you to everyone who’s followed, shared, commented, ordered something, or just stuck around to see what I build next.

Next stop: 1,000.

And when we get there, I’ve got something a little more special in mind for the giveaway. 👀

It’s pretty wild to think this all started with a folding table, a handful of tools, and absolutely no idea where this would go.

Seven months later, I’ve got a shop full of tools and a growing list of projects.

We’ll see where the next 500 takes us!

🎉 We have a winner!

Congratulations to Eryca Bass on winning the set of 3 handmade lanterns!

And a huge thank you to everyone who entered, shared the post, and helped push Even Woodworks past 500 followers. The response was way bigger than I expected, and I really appreciate all the support.

Now I just have to figure out what I’m giving away at 1,000. 😂

Congrats again, Eryca Bass🎉

And don’t forget to keep following the page for future giveaways!

A customer reached out looking for something to keep track of how tall their kids are.

Kids grow fast, and unfortunately, Sharpie marks on the door trim are frowned upon when you eventually try to sell the house.

So I made a better option.

A 6.5’ wooden growth ruler, starting at 6” so it can hang on the wall and move with the family from one house to the next.

Well, Plan A was a blue and orange flag.

Plan A and I had some creative differences.

So the flag is getting turned back into a traditional American flag, and these three Halloween lanterns will be donated to the Booster Club auction instead.

Sometimes woodworking is less “trust the process” and more “quietly change the process.”

Anyway, here’s Plan A.5.

Go J-Hawks!

And no, this isn’t replacing the 500-follower giveaway. That’s still happening. 😂
