To our Family and Friends Emporium and Flippin’ 501 family and friends,
Many of you know Flippin’ 501 as a place filled with painted furniture, vintage treasures, home décor, and unique finds. What you may not know is that behind so much of what you see is the heart, creativity, and talent of my best friend and business partner, Carol.
Carol has an incredible gift for seeing beauty and potential where others might not. From refinished furniture to beautiful staging, her artistic touch can be found throughout our space. Her eye for design, ability to create beautiful vignettes, and passion for helping customers find treasure that they love have been a huge part of what makes Flippin’ 501 feel special.
Recently, Carol was diagnosed with metastatic cervical cancer and has stepped away from many of her day-to-day activities to focus on treatment and healing. While you may not see her in the shop as often, please know that Flippin’ 501 will always carry her fingerprints and creative spirit in every corner.
If you have ever admired one of our displays, complimented a furniture makeover, or fallen in love with a perfectly staged space, chances are you’ve been enjoying Carol’s work.
Carol is approaching this journey with the same strength, faith, and determination that she brings to everything she does. She isn’t looking for sympathy—she’s preparing for a fight, trusting God every step of the way, and believing in the power of hope and prayer.
We would be grateful if you would keep Carol, her husband Elvis, and her daughter Gabrielle in your prayers in the days ahead.
