Every year I pull out this wreath and have to hot glue parts back on, which I continue to do because I love it. Some year it won’t be salvageable but this year is not that year. The wreath came from Pier1 and I really miss their stores. Maybe that’s why I continue to baby it.

I set out for the garden center yesterday to see what they had to make a wreath for out front door. I decided to stop into first and found Fraser wreaths out front plus two kinds of greens and some berries among their flowers. Saved me a trip!

I hope to add more to this as the season goes on because I like wreaths when they get kind of wild. I wish I could have live greens everywhere but I stick to outside where they don’t dry out so fast. The weather is doing its part today…it’s 21 degrees.

“I paid off my student loans and thought, ‘I deserve a career change’.” - Harley Hamilton, owner of Red Fern Booksellers. Here’s a little more about his store and also the books he’s recommending right now. Thanks for agreeing to this impromptu interview, Harley. I loved my visit to your beautiful store.

This weekend took me to Salina, KS where I lived for five years as a kid. The trip gave me a chance to visit Red Fern Booksellers which is a *stunning* store in Salina’s downtown. Here’s a little tour to show you what I mean plus a pic of what I picked up while I was there. I also found myself asking if I could do an impromptu interview with the owner, Harley Hamilton, which I’ll post separately. If you’re ever near Salina, you have to check out this beauty of a bookstore.
