Aunt June

Aunt June Doot-doo-doo-dooooooo! I make fabric, so you can make things. My name is Lauren Hunt, aka Aunt June, and I love to draw and sew and take pictures of my cat.

When I'm not doing that stuff, I work part time at my local quilt shop. I started designing fabric about two years ago, and have been selling it at www.auntjune.etsy.com since then. I've always been a doodler. My aesthetic is influenced by children's books, 60's instructional manuals, cartoons, and science textbooks; I love the look that only hand-drawing can give to patterns. My process is a com

bination of modern and old-school techniques, a mix of Moleskines and Photoshop and Crayola markers and hours with my light-box. It's slow and silly and outdated, but I wouldn't want it any other way.
