It Mother Day weekend lets talk about the Grandmas who shaped us into the the Mothers we are today ❤️

As a little girl, I had no idea how much the small moments would mean someday… the hugs, the stories, the way she made everyone feel at home.

Looking back now, I realize those are the memories that stay with you forever.
It’s funny how the older we get, the more we understand the love and sacrifices our grandparents made for us.

So in honor of Mother’s Day weekend… let’s hear about the grandmas out there. 👇

Grandmas always seem to be remembered for something they cooked for you growing up tell us one thing you will never forget about Grandmas kitchen.

Or if you could sit by the fire with her today what would you tell her.

As for me I would thank her for loving me unconditionally. And for showing me what true love looks like. As far as food she was an amazing cook but sharing hot chocolate and buttered toast will be a memory I will have forever. I wish she could have Rough & Rigid 💔

At this point we’ve honestly lost count of how many Rough & Rigid fire pits this group of friends owns… and this is just one of the many we’ve built for them over the years. And what a beautiful space this is!!

As a small business, support like this means more than you guys will ever know. Every order, every referral, every photo shared with friends and family helps keep this dream rolling.

Hamburgers and fried potatoes… now that’s the kind of meal that hits different after a long day of packing and shipping orders. 🍔🥔

After spending the day wrapping up fire pits and loading boxes, we decided it was time to fire up the grill, throw on a few burgers, and slow down for a minute and literally enjoy the fruits or our labor.

Also… if you’re in North Carolina, Rhode Island, Nebraska, or Ohio keep an eye out 👀

Your fire pits are officially on the way and will be landing at their new homes soon!
Now excuse me while I go grab seconds on those fried potatoes. 😋

Gas prices are climbing, airports are packed, and travel plans can start to feel more stressful than relaxing… so here’s a thought let’s skip the chaos and rediscover what’s right outside your door.

Your backyard might just be the perfect getaway.

Pitch a tent, unplug for the night, and fall asleep under the stars with the fire crackling nearby. Turn it into a family campout no packing lists, no long drives, just simple memories being made.

Or maybe your version of a “vacation” looks like a laid-back evening with friends over, a pool or sprinkler going, cold drinks in hand, and a fire glowing as the sun goes down. Swimming by day, fireside chats by night… not a bad way to spend a weekend.

Sometimes the best escapes don’t require a plane ticket just a little creativity and a good fire to gather around. 🔥

The other day we were at the library and a lady stopped us just to say how much she enjoys following our social media. She asked who runs it for us… and I got to smile and say, “me.”

A few years ago, I actually reached out looking for help with social media. I thought maybe I needed someone who knew all the rules, the algorithms, the “right” way to do things. But it didn’t take long to realize… nobody does you like you do.

People don’t care about the misspelled words, the run-on sentences, or if every post is perfectly polished. They don’t care about messy hair or unfiltered pictures. What they do care about is the real stuff. The laughs, the chaos, the behind-the-scenes moments. The parts they can relate to… because they see a little bit of themselves in you.

Some days social media feels like a full-time job on top of everything else. But moments like that remind me why I keep showing up.

So here’s your reminder—if you’ve been overthinking it:
Nobody can do you like you. And that’s exactly what people want. 🤍

Sleepless nights hit a little different when you run your own business.

It’s 3:00 AM and instead of sleeping, your mind is wide awake… running through orders that need to go out, double-checking details, hoping everything is just right when it lands in your customers’ hands.

Then there’s the constant worry because steel prices consistently going up and supply issues.

It can be lot. And somehow, your brain always decides the middle of the night is the perfect time to solve it all.

But this is the part people don’t always see the quiet hours, the stress, the responsibility.

Because behind every order that ships out, there’s a whole lot of care, worry, and pride that went into it.

So if you’re up at 3:00 AM too… just know you’re not alone!

One of our favorite things to include with every order is this little postcard ❤️

Not everyone who orders from us gets to meet us in person, shake our hands, or hear how this all started… so we like to send a small piece of our story along with every package.

This card has our photo, a reminder that everything we make is proudly made right here in America 🇺🇸, and a simple thank you for supporting our small business.

Because behind every fire pit, every grate, every order… it’s just us and we want to take the opportunity to thank the for letting us be a small piece of their home 🏠

These four beauties are headed out the door to a stunning home in the mountains of Colorado! 🏔️

But here’s the twist… they won’t be used for fire. 🔥

Our customer had a different vision in mind—turning these fire pits into oversized flower pots! 🌸

We customized each one with metal plates designed to allow proper drainage, making them as functional as they are eye-catching.

We love when customers think outside the box and trust us to bring their ideas to life. I cannot wait to see the finished look once they’re filled with flowers and set against that mountain backdrop!
