Update #2 - Day 11
on Bruce. Surgery went well. Took 5 hrs for the surgery and 4.5 hrs in recovery.
Great NEWS, no broken jaw only stitches on the inside of his mouth, top and bottom. So no wired jaw shut and no liquid diet.
He is getting to eat small bite size food tomorrow. Yaaay... no more puree food. He wasn't a fan!
His Face will swell again due to the surgery on his eye, sinuses, cheek bone, and bone under eye. Which I think is part of the cheek bone. All was crushed and now all good again with titanium.
His ligament that keeps your eye in place was severed and he was missing a 1/3 of his eye lid. That is all now repaired. His eye will be a little tight and in about 6 months the doctor said you will not be able to tell anything was done except for the scar on his face. Hopefully the cream I purchased will handle that as well.
He is doing well. Resting and on the road to recovery.
We can not express the love, gratitude and support we have received during all of this. Again, words can not express how thankful & grateful we are for all the Prayers, love & Support.
I thank the Good Lord above first and foremost, this was not any worse. Because it definitely could have been.
Don't get me wrong it was critical. But, Jesus is the healer and he is working on him every second. In more ways than 1.
Thank you Jesus
He's a chain breaker
Say your prayers
You can pray sitting at your desk working. Driving down the road. You can pray anywhere, anytime of the day. Just do it. He is always listening.
Do your best to be the best version of you daily.
Even on the hard days!
Even if it's just a smile. You never know who may need just that 1 smile!
Happiness is a choice!
Hopefully we are out of here in a few days.
Please continue to send Prayers our way
Much love
Bruce & Tina
