A mother and wife. I bring to the table not only the skills earned during 15 years of interior design, but also a passion for food, for hosting, for making the things that nurture my community of friends and family. Since graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design, I have had the opportunity to work with high end residential clients, major commercial clients (Sunglass Hut and Hilton Brands), and multiple other people just like you and me. In the end it all comes down to relationship building and trust. I love meeting new people and getting to know what brings them joy and comfort. Getting the opportunity to work in another’s home is a very personal experience, and a privilege I take seriously. Not everyone is ready for a full house renovation or fixer-upper. A real moment from a recent project: My assistant and I spent way longer than we'd like to admit deciding between a 5 1/16" and a 16 11/16" cabinet pull, debating one pull versus two, across cabinets ranging from 21" to 36" wide.

We finally landed on it. Felt like a big win.

Twenty minutes later, we needed a tarp to cover a tub at the job site.

Them: "What size do you need?"

Us: "...Just... a big one?"

We will fight to the death over a sixteenth of an inch on your drawer pulls. Tarps, apparently, we just wing it.

Where did the name HEMSTITCH come from?

It started with a love of table linens, the kind with a little history stitched right into the hem.

That's one idea behind Hemstitch: taking your vintage finds and treasured heirlooms and weaving them into spaces that still feel fresh and modern.

It's also why, when you sign on with Hemstitch, the first thing you get isn't a mood board, it's a fresh loaf of sourdough, accompanied by Hemstitch napkins.

What does full-service interior design actually look like?

At The Local in Irvington, VA, the deep green built-ins create a strong visual identity while offering practical storage, display space, and seating. Warm wood counters, black metal stools, artwork, merchandise, and locally inspired details keep the space feeling layered and approachable rather than overly polished.
