A change of plan…
A few weeks ago, we shared that we were getting ready to move to Provence and begin a new chapter for L’Impatience.
In the end, the project couldn’t move forward under the conditions we needed, so we made the difficult decision not to go ahead with this property.
It’s been hard. We had already imagined so much there, we couldn’t wait to start welcoming people in. The past few weeks have felt heavier than we expected.
So we took a little time away in Puglia, Italy. A change of air, slower days, stone villages, olive trees, long meals, and a bit of distance.
It was good to be reminded that building something meaningful is not only about reaching the final shape.
Ceramics teaches us that all the time, even if we forget: so much happens before the finished piece. The waiting, the testing, the adjusting, the countless failures, and sometimes the moment when something asks to become something else.
What we wanted to build around L’Impatience is still very much alive. A place for ceramics, sound, workshops, gatherings, and hospitality. It may take another shape, another scale, another address.
And that feels full of possibility too.
We know finding the right next project may take time. For now, we’re trying to enjoy the process, not only wait for the result.
So this summer, we’ll be exploring the South of France from one side to the other, looking, visiting, meeting people and letting things unfold a little.
If you have places we should see, towns we should stop in, addresses you love, people we should meet, or anything that feels like it belongs on the road ahead, we’d love to hear.
Thank you for following along with us, and for being here as this next chapter slowly takes shape. 🇮🇹♥️🇫🇷
