One day it’s purple walls and princesses… and the next, they’re asking for something that feels more grown up 🥺

This room change hit me harder than I expected—because it’s not just about design. It’s about watching her grow right in front of me.

So instead of chasing every new phase, I wanted to create a space that could grow with her.
We kept the foundation timeless and layered in her personality through the pieces that can change as she does.

The softest backdrop: Wing It by —the prettiest barely-there blush that somehow feels both young and grown.

Because these years? They’re fleeting.
And I just want her to always have a space that feels like home in every version of who she’s becoming 💙

I shared all the details (and how to design a room that evolves with them) over on the blog ✨

Tell me I’m not the only one getting emotional over a room makeover… what phase are you in right now? 🥹👇

As a Southerner, ceiling fans aren’t optional… they’re survival 😅 But if I’m honest? I’ve always hated the way they look.
It’s one of those things you just accept… function over beauty.
Until now.
This is the Brookside Fandelier from and it completely changed my mind. For the first time, I don’t feel like I have to hide my ceiling fan… it actually adds to the room 💙
And somehow, it still puts out the airflow we can’t live without down here! No more sacrifice beauty in the name of surviving heat and humidity 😉

I used to think a beautiful home meant everything had to be just right. Fluffed, styled, untouched.

But the older I get, the more I realize… I don’t want a perfect house.

I want the kind of home where the pillows are never quite straight, where there’s always a blanket half-folded from someone getting comfortable, where fresh flowers sit next to yesterday’s coffee cup.

A place where the dog claims the couch like it’s theirs. Where the lamp stays on a little too long at night. Where nothing matches perfectly—but somehow, it all feels right.

Because perfection is quiet.

But cozy? Cozy tells a story.

And I’ll choose a home that’s lived-in, loved-on, and a little bit undone every single time. 💙

Tell me—are you team cozy or team perfect?

Yeah, it’s probably just that. 🤣

So many versions of our kitchen tree and cabinet and every year I think it’s my favorite one yet.
My favorite Christmas combination: greenery, dried oranges, ribbons, lights, sugared fruit and shiny baubles (only missing some florals 😉) ✨💙

I loved our dining room last Christmas so much that I didn’t alter it much. A mix of old and older, dried oranges, greenery, thrifted finds and a healthy dose of twinkle lights ✨ It all comes together to feel festive and cozy. Like a place where you want to gather, linger and laugh. At the end of the day, that’s all I truly want for our little home. 💙 Scroll to the end for my design assistant 😉

One last look at the dining room before the holidays. I ended up switching out the bookshelf art (because one piece fell and broke 😬) and I think this new print from fits so well here. 💙
I try to always bring in pieces that mean something to us or are relevant to our family somehow and this Markham Goose print is not only stunning but speaks to Micah’s love of the outdoors 🍂
