The story of a home should be shaped by the people who live there. This one is ours.
Our most important foundation when designing a home is understanding the people who will inhabit it and how they envision their life. When renovating an existing home, that means also understanding what the house itself is already telling you.
When renovating our own home, the goal was never to erase what was here or impose a singular idea of “new.” We wanted to preserve and highlight the things that gave the house its character - its proportions, materiality, quirks, and history - while changing the things that no longer made sense for the way our family lives.
The result is not a reinvention of the house, but a clearer version of it.
Our home, designed and renovated by us,
before, during and after.
