It is officially fall! Even though the trees have not yet begun to change color here in east Tennessee, we are anxiously awaiting cooler temperatures and the smell of autumn leaves.

This year is the first year that I haven't started decorating for Christmas before the leaves start to fall. It feels strange, yet refreshing to be able to decorate for Halloween and fall before worrying about getting the Christmas decorations out.

This past year I gave away a little more than half of my personal Christmas collection. Some family and friends were concerned that I was giving up on my passion. I have not given up on my passion for Christmas, simply removed some of the stress that was created when trying to decorate every inch of our home before opening it up for the season. Now our home will be decorated for us to enjoy. So from 6 trees to only 2, thats quite a change from the 13 trees that I used to decorate at our home in Florida.
