ayings from inspirational to humorous. In our food section we have Wind and Willow Dip Mixes & Soup Mixes. Also, a full line of Amish jams, jellies, apple butter, pumpkin butter, candies, Kutztown sodas, including Birch Beer, Tennessee Honey, and hulless Amish popcorn. We also carry Amish Farmer's Cheese and butter.

I have worked every Saturday at the Mercantile except for 2 since my family bought the store June 14, 2013. It is with a heavy heart that I work today since it is our last day open but I feel so blessed for the wonderful people that I have met through the store. I want to thank my family for all of their help, especially my daughter, Megan, who could have ran the store without me and to my boys for the occasional poly furniture delivery. Thank you to Mary, Sarah, and Maggie who have kept the store going during the week since I had to go back to my full time job and to the many others who have helped along the way. My plan is to open a booth in the Gatehouse Antique Market on Campbell Station Road which is only 5 minutes from my house so it will be more convenient. More details to come. LAST DAY OPEN WILL BE SATURDAY, MAY 14TH! We have several display items that we have been taking bids on. The last day to place a bid will be Saturday, May 7th. The photos attached show some of the bid items. We have old doors, shelving units, old ladders, log cabin area, wagon, fireplace front, and even the front counter with the canopy. All of it must go. Call the store if you are interested in an item. The owners have final say in whether a bid item is priced high enough to sell. Our plan is open a booth space at the Smoky Mountain Flea Market. Ray from Tic Toc Ice Cream was just in store and said that the reopening date will be March 11th not March 8th. We will start our new spring / summer hours on Tuesday, March 15th and be open Tuesday thru Saturday with some Sundays. Since I have not had any firm offers on the store yet the plan is to close the store for good sometime in May. Come in now and place your bid on the large pieces of furniture and displays. Loudon Christmas Parade at 6 p.m. tonight! 30% OFF STOREWIDE. Come out and enjoy this beautiful weather and do some Christmas shopping. We will be open. Many of you know Megan, my daughter, who helps out at the store on Saturdays. She just got a job at JC Penneys and is working there tonight but my boys will be helping me tonight after the parade so please stop in to give them a hard time. Lol!
