It's okay if you're not ready for pumpkins yet!

I created a cozy and simple Fall mantel without pumpkins. It is still one hundred degrees or close to it in a lot of places so it is very hard to get into the autumn mood.
And because the temperature is so hot it makes it nearly impossible to have the energy to dig out pumpkins and all of the fall decor!

Welcome to September + Autumn at the Old Schoolhouse.

September always feels a little like a fresh start, doesn't it? This month's Sparrow's Nest printables take us back to an old-fashioned schoolhouse with book plates, library catalog cards, an autumn nature study guide (this one is my favorite) and old schoolhouse labels and ephemera.

It's o-fficial! I had the best day thrifting and antiquing - thank you to Greene County Partnership and Keep Greene Beautiful for planning this amazing day.

Thank you to JB (Jessie Beth) for heading up this event and for making exploring Greeneville's thrift stores and antique stores super fun and easy. Thank you to Nikki and Meg for being our valets and keeping our purchases organized and safe.

I found some amazing things but the very best and probably is my best antique store find ever was the most beautiful dresser I found at The Burlap Bunny. I purchased it for $45! And if anyone ever asks yes a dresser fits in the cargo hold of a bus 😄😁

I'll share a video of a few of the stores we visited. I am sorry to say I was shopping so hard I forgot to take a lot of footage 🫣

In conclusion Greeneville, Tennessee is a wonderful small town with so much to offer - I'll be making a return visit for sure.

Sunday the Puppy is loving, smart, kind, and spoiled rotten.

He loves
Butternut Squash
Sweet Potatoes
Bacon
And whatever Grandpa will sneak him off his plate 🤣

Car Rides
Boat Rides
Long Walks

Curled up in a donut in my lap or next to me in bed

And

His crocodile, squirrel and turtle.
