This powerful transformation of space is complete! The result is an open, connected design that allows natural light to travel freely.

The refinished hardwood flooring grounds the space with warmth and continuity, while a custom railing adds architectural interest without interrupting the flow. We chose to remove what stood in the way of light, movement, and everyday living, because design isn’t about filling space, but freeing it and letting light do the rest.

As this project nears completion, there is no denying the positive impact created in this space. What once felt closed off and confined is now open, connected, and full of light.

This staircase transformation began by removing an existing wall that separated the stairwell from the main living area. In its place: a custom-designed landing that overlooks the room below and gracefully connects the upper level with the heart of the home.

Paired with handcrafted railing and elevated finishes, this design not only enhanced the flow, it redefined the experience of the entire space.
