The Skein Dame

The Skein Dame I hand knit and crochet items for homes, people and pets! Products available at select shops or via special order.

My first knitting lesson was from Grandma before I studied abroad in college. When I returned, I took a "J-Term" course called "Knit One Purl Two" at Gustavus Adolphus College. My first craft shows were the Maker's Fair in Vernon Center and then at the Blue Earth County Fairgrounds. Later, I learned some basic crochet stitches from a cousin, and I never knit another washcloth again (I can do this

much faster with a hook)! My favorite items to make are custom orders - I LOVE knowing that the piece I am making IS something special FOR someone special!
