Not every designer is the right fit for every project, and that’s okay.

We do our best work when we’re brought in early, trusted for our expertise, and given the opportunity to thoughtfully plan the details before construction begins.

The right fit makes all the difference!

Black tile, warm wood, and bold lighting set the tone for this mid-century inspired home.

Our goal was to bring back the home’s original identity, which had been stripped away during a previous ranch-style remodel, while making it feel personal to our client. From the statement fireplace and dedicated coffee bar to the screened-in patio, we layered in warm materials and bold details to create a fun, masculine feel throughout.

Hey, it’s Seth.

Here are 3 things I’d tell you before remodeling your home:

1. Fix what doesn’t work.
A remodel is your opportunity to solve the things that frustrate you every day—awkward layouts, wasted space, poor flow, or rooms that just don’t function the way you need them to.

2. Design for real life.
Think about how you actually move through your home. Where do you drop your keys? Where do you unload groceries? Where do those things get stored? Your home should work with your everyday routines, not against them.

3. Think through the details.
Before construction starts, think through where the outlets need to go, how doors will swing, where lighting is needed, and how much clearance you have. Small details can become expensive mistakes when they aren’t planned ahead of time.

The more you solve upfront, the better your remodel will be.

In all seriousness, we manage a lot behind the scenes that most people never see.

We’re involved from the very beginning, helping guide thousands of decisions and coordinating with contractors, trades, vendors, and installers to keep every detail moving in the right direction.

We answer questions, review plans, attend site meetings, coordinate deliveries, catch issues, and find solutions before they become bigger problems.

Because creating the vision is only part of our job. Protecting that vision throughout the entire process is just as important.

A lot happens between the first idea and the finished home, and managing it all is a huge part of what we do.

The arches are one of our favorite details throughout the South Mills project✨

From the front door to the entryway, fireplace, doorways, and seating, we carried the same curved details throughout to give the home a cohesive, purposeful feel.

Textures, textures, and more textures✨

You’ll see vertical lines repeated throughout the Hatton Circle project, from the fluted wood to the wall details and cabinetry. It’s a small move, but it adds depth, draws your eye up, and keeps everything feeling cohesive.

It’s one of those subtle details that makes such a difference.

What detail stands out to you the most?
