A snapshot of 1960’s-70’s Big Tupper skiing and Adirondack winter fun. Received these goodies today courtesy of two born, raised, and current Tupper Lakers who wanted to keep their family’s gear out of the landfill. Thank you for the cool stuff which will be turned into other cool stuff. The legacy of skiing lives on! If each ski could talk… if the laughter, whootin’ and hollerin’ and sheer joy these skis (and the rest of my 400+ pair) knew on the mountain could be heard again now, my shop would be as loud and energized as the biggest baddest rock concert ever held 😎

First time making a waterski chair! A fun summer side venture 😎 This one goes to Pat, my kindhearted 83 year old mother in law as a surprise birthday gift. She’s 4’ 10” and back in the day she used to waterski on the shoulders of her late husband.

I’ve been storing these and other water skis for decades and this chair was the protype to get my head around how to build one. Modified a bit for Pat’s small stature, but I got the general gist. I have three others I’ll be putting together shortly that will be available for purchase. If you have some waterskis and want a custom waterski chair, just lmk. ☀️
