Today is a day filled with big emotions.

This shop was a dream my mom and I shared for most of my life. We talked about it all the time, and three years ago, I made our dream come true. Unfortunately, she never got to see it happen, but deep in my heart, I know she would be so proud of what this little dream became.

Today is officially my last day as the owner of YB Normal Designs. I'll be here all day, and we will be closed tomorrow as we transition everything over to the new ownership. As of Tuesday, Lonell will officially become the proud new owner of this beautiful shop. I plan to continue helping her in any way I can. While I won't be here full-time anymore, you'll probably still see me around from time to time.

Lakeside, you have been beyond amazing. I can't begin to express my gratitude to everyone who supported, encouraged, and believed in this dream of mine.

Thank you especially to Glenn, my faithful facilitator, problem-solver, and builder of all the things I dreamed up. Every time I had a new idea or needed something created, you made it happen. Without you, this shop never would have been possible.

And to our loyal customers—thank you from the bottom of my heart. Many of you walked through our doors as customers and became dear friends. We will miss you terribly, but it's time for Glenn and me to embrace this next chapter and enjoy retirement.

This shop will always be one of my greatest joys. The people I've had the privilege of meeting through YB Normal Designs have been such a blessing in my life.

It is my hope and prayer that you'll continue to show Lonell the same love and support you've shown me. I know she's excited to take this shop to the next level, and I can't wait to see all the wonderful things ahead for her.

Please note that this will be my final post on the YB Normal Designs social media pages. Beginning tomorrow, Lonell will take over managing the Facebook and Instagram accounts. If you'd like to keep in touch with me, you can find me on my personal page.

I will, however, continue managing the Pocket Chicken Posse group from my personal page, and I truly hope to keep seeing pictures and stories of your little chicks and the adventures they go on.

Thank you, Lakeside, for allowing me to live a dream that started with my mom and grew into something more beautiful than I ever imagined.

Well, my time here is quickly winding down. We are scheduled to close escrow in a few days. Lonell and I are having fun, working together, until she's ready to take over completely. I'll be her safety net for a bit, but she's catching on fast and won't need me much longer.

This shop has been my lifelong dream and I'm so grateful to have found someone that will continue my mission.
