DFL State Convention!!! I usually don't take a lot of pictures of my personal life, but this was important.

I'm not happy with some of the results... my new boss, , is going to rip state worker's rights away. MAPE has already been organizing around strike preparedness in anticipation of Klobuchar's nomination...
Klobuchar refused to speak with any of the state unions before her nomination. She did not show up to any of the previous conventions. Instead, she sent the same video advertisement each time and to all districts that you probably saw as TV commercials.
She seemed sick and slow during her speech at the state convention. Klobuchar, during her speeches and answers, forgot she was running for governor of the state and spoke about changing federal things... let's remember, it's been 20 years since she lived in Minnesota. If Klobuchar is unwilling to show up for her own staff, her own unions, her own constitutes, she will NOT be willing to show up for Minnesota.
The great news is that Klobuchar had to work for her nomination because of . Kobey was amazing. I can't wait to see what the next steps are in her political journey. I've never wanted to be more involved in a political campaign ( excluded, of course), but I can back Kobey's progressive platform. Luckily, Kobey did not agree to honor the DFL endorsement, which means she might be on the governor's ballot!!
Kobey needed 10% of all delegates to second her nomination to push for a Q&A between her and Klobuchar, and Kobey got 25%. I'm excited that there is a progressive movement happening.
Also, seeing lose to was disappointing. Adam Jennings took the time to speak with MAPE members and supportive of divestment from Israel in state worker's pensions. Zack has said he would support divestment, but it took him too long to agree... and has changed his stance in private, which is troubling.
It was an amazing experience to be elected by my senate district and be able to speak for them. and volunteers were wonderful.
