We figured it’s time to highlight our amazing staff!  Anna joined Now. Make. Art. as a Teaching Artist for our camps this summer, where she empowered students to create intuitively and hold the self belief that they too, are artists. 😍

Anna Bjorge is a Twin Cities-based muralist and multilingual educator who uses her creative platform to advocate for youth, nature, and the arts. In 2024, she founded Aldri Alene Art, an initiative rooted in the belief that public art should be accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds. Through leading collaborative school murals and community-driven projects, Anna cultivates environments where art serves as a universal language, a bridge for connection, communication, and the shared wonder of our big and beautiful world.

The community at Rice Street Library used an amazing blend of whimsy and practicality in building their Clay City last week ✨

For this event, people of all ages can get their hands dirty molding, poking, and building whatever they want to add to an evolving city of our making. Everyone gains skills in tactile making, working with each other to envision and create their ideal and thriving city, and using problem solving from ideation to 3D clay creation.

Stay tuned for Clay City near you!

Lots of joy and focused building at Washburn Library a couple weeks ago 😎

Through All Seasons Forts, participants take inspiration from natural dens, animal dwellings, and their imaginations to build creative forts together. They learn skills in brainstorming, problem solving, and identifying tools and tactics used in their process.

The best part? Witnessing the satisfaction and sense of enpowerment when their visions come to life!

Stay tuned for an event near you ✨

Check out these deliciously goopy creations from Process Art Adventures at East Lake Library last week! We celebrated the journey of waiting for and getting to enjoy your ice cream, inspired by the book “Ice Cream Face” by Heidi Woodard.🍦

Process Art Adventures encourages littles in building their confidence and motor skills through process art and play. We offer a variety of themes—the program starts with story time and then young artists move into stations where they might mix watercolors, build a play dough sculpture, add to a mural, and much more! 📣 NEW EVENT ALERT! 📣 Introducing Pulp Pages, a process art exploration of papermaking! Pulp Pages will be running exclusively at Great River Regional Library this summer, but we’re hoping to offer it in the Twin Cities later this year.

Dive into the world of papermaking through a hands-on process using repurposed materials! Participants will customize paper pulp with seeds, petals, and colors, leaving with a one-of-a-kind sheet of handmade paper to use, share, or plant in the ground.
