Looking for a houseplant that is beautiful, forgiving, and perfect for beginners? 🌱 Meet the Pothos! One of our favorite houseplants here at Flowers of the Good Earth! 🌿

✨ DID YOU KNOW? Pothos plants are tropical vines that can grow long, beautiful trails of greenery, making them perfect for hanging baskets, shelves, or a little greenery on your desk!

🌱 HOW TO KEEP YOUR POTHOS HAPPY:

☀️ LIGHT: Pothos prefer bright, indirect light but can tolerate lower-light conditions. Avoid harsh, direct sunlight that can scorch their leaves.

💧 WATER: Water when the top 1–2 inches of soil feel dry. Don't let your plant sit in standing water, as this can lead to root rot!

🪴 SOIL: Use a well-draining potting mix to keep those roots healthy and happy.

🍃 PRUNING: If your pothos gets long and leggy, trim the vines to encourage fuller growth. Bonus: You can propagate healthy cuttings to grow even more plants!

💚 FUN FACT: Pothos can grow surprisingly long vines in the right conditions, and their heart-shaped leaves come in beautiful shades of green, yellow, and cream, depending on the variety!

⚠️ PET PARENTS: Pothos are toxic if chewed or ingested by cats and dogs, so keep them out of reach of curious pets.

🌿 LET'S TALK PLANTS! Do you have a pothos at home? Tell us in the comments: Do you prefer your plants hanging and trailing, or do you like to keep them trimmed and bushy? 👇
