Selected to be an Emerging Artist at the 2026 Gasparilla Festival of the Arts

Becky Wanamaker has been an artist all of her life. From the time she could pick up a crayon, she was driven to draw, paint & design. Wanamaker is a graphic designer by training and started painting as a creative outlet in the fall of 2015. Wanamaker experimented with Alcohol Inks on paper which lead to painting with the inks on glass. By the end of 2015 she had sold a large number of upcycled glass & metal vases & trays. She also started painting large glass Christmas ornaments. Before she knew it, Wanamaker had orders for her unique hand painted ornaments coming in faster than she could handle. In November, 2015, Wanamaker was invited to show her work at The Gallery @ 14 Days. Inspired by the other artists in the gallery, she decided to purse abstract painting. Her journey lead her to experimenting with fluid painting and painting with resin. Wanamaker coined the term "Fluid Abstraction". Her painting technique incorporates acrylic & oil paints, pigments, alcohol & india inks, resin and sometimes even fire. Wanamaker uses techniques learned from other artists as well as those she has developed through much trial and error along the way. She keeps a detailed journal for each painting she creates, notating the mediums used, what combination they were used in and the specific techniques so that she can continue to grow as an artist and improve her techniques. Wanamaker uses these techniques and mediums to create statement pieces on wood canvas, glass & furniture. Her affinity for color and experience as a graphic designer combined with her unique style of painting results in one-of-a-kind statement pieces. She is currently accepting commissions for large and small paintings for the upcoming holiday season. She will also be offering her hand painted ornaments again this year, so stay tuned!!

What looks like a painting from a distance tells a completely different story up close. 🔍✨

One of my favorite parts of Art Fair Tampa was watching people discover what my artwork is actually made of.

So many visitors were intrigued by the vibrant colors and patterns, but the real surprise came when they realized that thousands of tiny, hand-punched circles of vintage and discarded paper make up each piece.

I loved the conversations that followed—about the history hidden in the papers, the process behind every piece, and why preserving these analog materials means so much to me.

I encouraged visitors to come closer, look beyond the surface, and even touch the artwork! Because sometimes you need to experience art with more than just your eyes.

But what meant the most was hearing YOUR interpretations. Every person saw something different, discovered something unexpected, or connected with a piece in their own way. That’s what makes sharing my work so rewarding. ❤️

To everyone who stopped by, asked questions, shared a story, or simply spent a moment exploring my work—THANK YOU! You made this experience unforgettable.

And this is just the beginning. 👀

Keep following! New artwork, exciting announcements, and some very special drops are coming soon. You won’t want to miss what’s next!

Thousands of hand-punched paper circles. Bold color. Unexpected details. And stories hiding in plain sight.

Every piece you see is created by hand, one circle at a time, using discarded papers, vintage ephemera, and analog materials that deserve a second life.

The photos and videos are one thing. Seeing these pieces up close is an entirely different experience.
