A new roof is important.

But feeling taken care of during the process matters just as much.

This review meant a lot to our team because it mentions the things we care about most.

Nick noticed the gutters DIDN’T need to be replaced.
He helped fix siding while he was there.
DJ kept communication clear from start to finish.
The crew protected the home, cleaned carefully, and took the time to answer questions.

That’s the experience we want every homeowner in Greater Lansing to have.

Thank you so much for trusting our team with your home and for taking the time to leave such a detailed review.

Made a call to Acme and the following week Nick came out to discuss replacing my roof. It was a terrific experience from beginning to end. The first time Nick came out, he took pictures and we talked about what I wanted done. He was very thorough and I mentioned replacing gutters but after he took a look he said there was no need. I mentioned some of my siding was popping off and he took the time to fix it real quick where I couldn’t reach.

Soon after that, Nick sent over the quote with 3 options, and after I selected my option he came back over to the home a couple days later to look at colors and finalize everything.

DJ called me soon after to set up a time for the work to be done. DJ is amazing to work with too. During our call he answered all my questions and said if I ever need anything, to call or text. He also kept me updated very well for when the roofing supplies would be delivered.

DJ arrived right on time the day of install and we talked again about what to expect. They put tarps down to catch debris and put plywood along the house where they were working to protect it. All the workers were careful and knew what they were doing. Someone was always picking up stuff and going over areas to pick up loose nails and such. When they were

Straight siding doesn’t happen by guessing.

On this home in Williamston, Michigan, our team is using a laser level to make sure every piece of siding lines up the way it should.

The tool matters — but the people using it matter even more.

A laser level gives us the straight line.
A skilled installer knows how to use that line to make the home look clean, finished, and beautiful.

It’s one of those behind-the-scenes details most homeowners may never think about…

But when the job is done, you can see the difference.

Gutters aren’t the most exciting part of your home… until they stop working.

We had the chance to talk through different types of gutter protection and what actually works best for Michigan homes.

Because the goal isn’t just to add something to your gutters — it’s to help water move where it should, protect your home, and make maintenance easier.

A brown spot on the ceiling is enough to make any homeowner nervous.

This homeowner did the right thing and called a roofer.

The problem? Three different roofers came out and missed the real issue. She was told she needed a new roof, but the actual fix was much smaller.

That is why diagnosis matters.

Before you spend money on a full roof replacement, make sure someone has taken the time to find where the water is really getting in.

Deck season is snuck up on us!

We stopped by Paul’s home in Okemos to take another look at his deck project, and this one was a fun one. It sits way up high, has a great view, and Paul was kind enough to walk us through how everything turned out.

A deck project has a lot more details than most people realize — layout, height, stairs, railing, materials, how you’ll actually use the space — and those conversations matter before anyone starts building.

So if a deck has been on your “we should really do that someday” list, this is your friendly reminder that this is the season to have those conversations.

Thanks again, Paul, for letting us stop by. We’re glad you’re enjoying it.

Don’t choose exterior trim just because it looks good on day one.

The trim around your windows has to handle rain, snow, moisture, and Michigan weather.

In this video, Dan shows a window with fiber trim that is starting to split and break apart where water is
getting into it.

That is why material choice matters. For many exterior trim projects, we prefer options like PVC trim or TruExterior trim because they are better suited for outdoor moisture.

Don’t choose full frame windows just because they sound “better.”

Choose them when you need to fix what a cheaper window replacement might leave behind.

With a full frame install, we are not just swapping out the window. We are removing the surrounding trim and materials so we can see what is really going on around it.

That allows us to:

* Fix hidden damage
* Insulate properly
* Seal the window better
* Help protect the home from water issues later

Sometimes paying a little more up front gives you a better result long term.

A new window project started today in DeWitt, and we’re just getting warmed up.

There’s something so fun about seeing a home start to change one window at a time.

We only grabbed a couple quick photos today, but we’ll keep sharing the progress as this one comes together.

To be continued…

Leaves sitting on your roof may not seem like a big deal.

But when debris holds moisture against your shingles, especially in roof valleys, it can start to cause problems over time.

Roof valleys are where water naturally funnels through, so keeping them clear matters.

Loose siding is not always a major repair.

In this short video, Dan explains why vinyl siding often comes loose near the top of the house and shows the simple tool installers should be using to help keep it locked in place.
