We use locally-sourced wood and re-purposed materials to make beautiful, unique works of art, woodwork, and furniture. We build new, usable pieces from materials that would otherwise be disposed of. Trees are precious gifts that should be left to grow and not cut down, and our goal is to allow the natural beauty of reclaimed wood to create beautiful works of art.

Our last volunteer day feel through do to our table saw being down that day.

I got that machine all fixed and had to build these all by my lonesome.

I love how these art tables are turning for the new ceramic department opening soon.

I have a feeling a lot of beautiful art of all different medias with be made on these tables by a lot of different beautiful people

Still looking a 2-3 volunteers tomorrow to come help me hold down Lansing and build some new community tables.

This Saturday from 1-5pm we will be at the shop starting to put together the new ceramics department.

Woodworking classes for the fall are up baby!!!!

The bandsaw utensil class was a hit so I added an other one! Jump on in quick cause it fills right up.

I also added a 3 week long course to build your own coffee table in January.
This will be the biggest build I have done yet so fingers crossed y’all are into it.

Art bar is back as well and I couldn’t be more excited for that. The shop got a new projector so movies will happen again at every art bar.

Special Halloween events are going to get announced soon too!

I love the summer but it feels good to be back and amping up classes and events again.

The shop already looks so amazing and it is just going to get better.

I’m looking for volunteers again this Saturday Aug 22nd from 1-5pm!

This time around we are going to build new tables, put together shelves and do some setup.

This will be great building experience for anyone who wants to learn how to make some simple and useful workbenches.

Volunteers needed!!

Want to come help us clean and rearrange the shop for our new ceramic studio?

I have always had a love for cleaning the shop and could really use some help with a big overhaul!

No registration need just show up

Saturday 15th and the 22nd from 1-5pm

I’m going to order everyone pizza and will have some task to fit everyone’s interests.

We are going to move and organize art bar. Sort lumber by type( my favorite), assemble shelving and set up the new kiln room.

This is a formal apology post

I love the shop,classes and all of you so much and very few things could make me neglect it to the extent that I have.

I have canceled and moved classes way more than I’m comfortable with. I have refunded money the shop doesn’t have and have so many folks waiting on me to catch up.

About a month before our son was born we got the opportunity to buy a house from the sweetest lady who happened to be my parents neighbor.

She was willing to sell it to us for what we could afford to make it possible. This meant I had to leave work and finish the house we lived in.

I completed major remodeling, windows, drywall in 18 days. I put up the last piece of trim 5 minutes before we went into labor. Our house went on the market the morning after Louie was born. We got through all the showings and somehow got and offer the day before we where able to bring him home from the NICU.

Lil Louie was pretty sick and after his first 2 month on earth we got him feeling better and then instantly moved. A team of friends and family showed up and we moved our house in a day.

Then it was time to move the barn. This was where the school started and was quite emotional for me. On pretty much no sleep I milled huge walnut log and took truck load after truck load of lumber to different places.

I was so burnt out I was ready to just sell my mill and every other heavy thing. Yet again a friend showed up and saved the day. I didn’t have to leave anything behind.

This has been the most daunting and difficult chunk of life I have ever had. My wife and I have cried, fought and helped each other get back up countless times.

Today I turn the keys in and can check that off my list. I can’t believe we pulled it off.

I need a break and vacation but instead I’m going to tie up my laces and come back to work and try to save my business that has fallen apart pretty spectacularly.

Thank you to everyone that has been kind an understanding please know this is not how I run a business.

I truly can’t wait to get the school back on track because there are a lot of exciting new things about to take place inside this shop that I love so much.
