About Cynthia

In my early professional life, I was laid off from my career position as Interior Designer for a major hotel design firm in Beverly Hills. My inner dialog was "Where do I go from here?" It was the first in a series of new opportunities and life changes for me. These changes brought anxiety.

But, I found that when I embraced it, and trusted myself, everything always worked out for the best.

I became a student of life. I went to Spain with my younger brothers where we traveled extensively on a shoestring budget (from my meager savings). Along with the sights I took in culture and art and as we traveled I learned more about the people. Understand me please, the artistic history of people is my natural interest. Enthralled, I returned home filled with renewed hope and a head full of ideas and, after enrolling full time in school to complete my dream of becoming an artist, I learned a new focus and became very involved.

Mixed Media Expression and memories began to frame my work. These included; Tile Mosaic, Collage, Painting, and Photography. Vivid and inspiring memories of places and things I experienced were memories I wanted to memorialize. Later, as hotel projects took me to the east, wonderful new cultures and ideas presented themselves. Asian influence became a new chapter.
