The end has looked a lot like the beginning of the shop
Our very first funeral service we designed at the Front Porch was in honor of the passing of our dear friend Marissa Watkins back in 2013. We just so happened to capture a photo together to commemorate the moment - and it has become such a treasure.
On our last day at the shop, we felt an incredible outpouring of love from you all. So many of you stopped by to see us. Notes, hugs, good cries - and we cannot thank you all adequately. We feel so loved!!
After we closed we had the honor of designing florals for the passing of our dear friend Kami’s son Carson Traasdahl. It is difficult to articulate, but being able to show up for friends in a time of mourning has always been the most meaningful part of this job for me.
I was able to gather with these women and design flowers one more time, for a dear friend, and close a beautiful chapter of life that was The Front Porch. So much gratitude for this journey!
