Growing up in rural Oklahoma, I was fortunate enough to have a network of family and friends that helped shape my love for all things handmade. My aunt would paint and knit, my mother let me play with her crafting supplies, and my home-ec teacher taught me to strive for perfection. My grandma and neighbors taught me how to quilt by hand, crochet blankets, and work hard. They always taught me to do
my very best. Through learning from my grandma, neighbors, and especially my home-ec teacher, I was able to focus on the details to get every item just right.
