“Mundane by day, Spectacular by night”

The 60 ft high electric welcome to Galveston sign. installed 1912 but only lasted a decade or so in the salty air on the Seawall. It had 3000 light bulbs but couldn’t find any photos of what it looked like all lit up. Maybe something like this… ✨

I admire how she’s her own biggest cheerleader ⭐️

This question I just read somewhere, about how harshly we talk to yourselves, it’s quite true, for most people, isn’t it?:

”Would you speak to your friend, the way you speak to yourself?”

The advice was to practice positive self-talk: ”Speak to yourself with kindness and understanding, acting as your own inner champion.”

How easy that sounds, but I dare to say it’s far easier said than done in reality.

Oftentimes we could use a little external push and encouragement- This lady on the wall might very well help with that, serving as a supporting executive creative chief of daily encouragement 🏆 ✨👏

”It ain’t braggin if it’s true” ☝🏼
What are you proud of today?

Looking at the calendar, there will be a lot of bragging on the socials this Sunday about who’s blessed with the best mom ever - and that’s alright. Because it’s not bragging if it’s true.

I didn’t paint this one with Mother’s Day in mind. However,it just dawned on me what a great Mother’s Day present this painting would be.

Imagine the reaction of the receiver if you were to gift this painting to a loved one, someone you look up to or someone you appreciate very much?

A best friend, colleague, sibling, parent, you name it 😚
