Thank you to the amazing The Shadow Buddies Foundation for their donation of 90 backpacks full of goodies for Camp Erin® Kansas City Family Camp held June 5–6, 2026. These items will be so well-received by the children and families attending camp.

This weekend retreat is designed for children, teens, and their caregivers who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives. Through guided grief activities, creative expression, shared conversation, and quiet reflection, participants are invited to honor their grief journey in a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment.

Special shoutout of appreciation to Mallory Smith, Executive Director of The Shadow Buddies Foundation; Cindy Lynn, Grant & Resources Development Manager, Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care (KCH) and Stephanie Orton, KCH Community Volunteer.
