Hi friends!
This small business journey first began when we happened upon Painted Tree’s beginning stages in November. Truthfully they weren’t open for business yet, as shop owners were working hard on their booths getting everything ready for the grand opening. While there, we experienced a sign that told us in our guts to just take the leap of faith. My husband and I worked tirelessly to pull our inventory together and get our booth set up with only 7 days until the grand opening. Somehow, we pulled it off, and continued flourishing and growing our inventory and investment over the past few months.
Today, we received a saddening email that Painted Tree has halted retail transactions immediately and they are closing all of their locations to shop owners within the next 10 days, including our brand new Lewis Center location. This is very disappointing, as we have only recently dipped our toes into small business ownership while being able to enjoy the perks of being located inside a boutique alongside other businesses.
This week we are focusing on packing up our shop and updating our website to reflect additional products that were exclusive at our in-person location. Going forward we will exclusively be operating sales through the website. Keep an eye out for an update on additional products available soon.
