My happy place! ❤️ Give me a kitchen filled with vintage flea market treasures, old pieces with a little wear, and things that have a story to tell. I’ll take that kind of charm and character over anything shiny and new from a department store any day! 🥰🏡

Built this bed from scratch after my son begged for a "real" treehouse but we're renting and can't build one outside. Used reclaimed fence boards from our neighbor's renovation and old pallets from behind the grocery store - total cost was basically just screws.
The hardest part was getting those angles right on the roof. I got the instructions from someone in the DIY community , but still had to redo it twice. When I posted my struggles with the measurements, the wonderful community there helped me figure out how to complete the steps I was stuck on. One woodworker even video-called to walk me through the roof angles.
Added fairy lights because everything's better with fairy lights, and found those buffalo plaid sheets at a thrift store. The little bear cutouts were freehanded with a jigsaw after someone suggested using cardboard templates first.

Yesterday was my 55th birthday and I walked outside expecting maybe a card on the patio table. Instead I found this. A full outdoor bar my son and his three buddies built from scratch, complete with those swivel stools I've been eyeing forever.
I stood there staring at it for probably ten minutes before I could even speak. Every board perfectly aligned, the roof angled just right to catch the evening shade. They even added hooks underneath for towels and a little shelf I hadn't noticed at first.
Last summer I was scrolling through the Tedooo app looking at outdoor furniture ideas for our pool area. I found this crafter who makes these gorgeous poolside bars and I must have stared at her photos for an hour, saved the post, shared it with my sister, even measured our deck to see if something like that would fit. But between my husband's medical bills and everything else, it was just a dream I tucked away.
Turns out my son saw me looking at those photos more than once. He remembered. For three months, while I thought he was just hanging out with friends after school, they were meeting in our garage planning this whole thing. His buddy Jake's dad helped source the lumber, another friend's older brother taught them to use the circular saw safely.
When I finally got words out, all I could say was thank you before I started crying. He just hugged me and said he wanted me to have a place to sit with my coffee and watch the sunrise over the pool.

Shared bedroom for the kids is finally complete! 🩵🩷
We did this on a serious budget, using mostly IKEA and a lot of stuff we already had from other rooms in the house.
7yo boy is space mad and he has a kallax hack bed, billy bookcases for his Lego and model displays, all black brown and scavenged from elsewhere in the house
4yo girl is into anything girly/unicorns/rainbows and she has a second hand bed (gifted by grandparents, with the base covered by an IKEA sheet), kallax for toys with the new unicorn storage boxes, and voile curtains
Both kids have hand painted murals (the planets are stickers, I'm not that talented, I just did the base coat 🤣🤣)
Curtains and blind are also IKEA

Turned this space into the perfect study zone for our triplets as they head back to school! We used IKEA Knoxhult kitchen cabinets to create this massive built-in desk and storage wall — way more versatile than just for kitchens. The colourful chairs, fun stickers and all the little details make it so bright and inviting. They’re going to love having their own spot to create and learn!

Just built in our PAX wardrobes and they look like proper fitted furniture now! Added the trim, painted everything to blend seamlessly, and the storage is insane. So much better than the standard setup — the room feels instantly more organised and luxurious. Super happy with how it came together!

Loving this vibrant boot room makeover! We used IKEA BERGSBO wardrobe doors painted to blend perfectly with the walls, and my hubby built custom wooden frames around the awkward electrics box for extra storage. The sides are simple MDF. Such a game-changer for our entry space!

Sharing our hallway before and after because I was so done with that plain white cluttered mess where everything was out in the open! We used a PAX and Metod combo, painted it this lovely neutral shade and swapped in some sleek gold handles. It feels so much calmer, tidier and way more stylish now – total win! 🌸✨
