Yay! The mugs are officially back in stock ✨

We just picked up a fresh batch of our handmade mugs from Moosehead Pottery, and we are absolutely in love. 🤎 It was so exciting seeing all the new colors, glazes, and one-of-a-kind styles she created for us this round. Each one is a little different, which makes choosing your favorite half the fun!

Each mug candle is $45, and once you’ve burned through it, bring your mug back to us and we’ll refill it with the scent of your choice for just $10! 🕯️ Mug refills take approximately 4 weeks to be ready. Our soy wax needs plenty of time to fully set and cure before burning—rushing that process can affect how your candle burns and its overall burn life, and we want every refill to burn beautifully.

Warm, fluffy pancakes fresh off the griddle, drenched in buttery maple syrup, with bright, bubbly top notes of a fresh mimosa. 🍊🥂 It’s sweet, cozy, a little citrusy, and basically smells like brunch plans you actually want to wake up for.

We actually named this scent after a beautiful trip to Colorado, where we stumbled across the sweetest little local bakery tucked away in the mountains. Before we even reached the door, the scent of fresh-baked goodness filled the entire street — one of those little moments you just don’t forget. 🤎

Mountain Top Bakery is warm, sweet, buttery and bakery-rich — basically like you’ve been baking all morning without dirtying a single dish. 😂

There’s just something about starting the morning with a great cup of coffee from one of our favorite local spots. ☕🌿

We stopped by Vacavi Cafe in Conneaut Lake this morning, and as always, it was the coziest place to slow down for a bit. Between the warm atmosphere, amazing coffee, and all of the beautiful plants (seriously… we’re obsessed 🌱), it was the perfect way to start the day.

Of course, we had to bring one of our refillable mug candles along! 🤍 These handcrafted mug candles are available in lots of color combination’s making each one a unique gift or cozy addition to your own home.

If you’re thinking ahead for the holidays (or just want to get a jump on gift shopping), now is the perfect time to preorder yours! Because each mug candle is made to order, please allow a couple of weeks for pickup, so be sure to plan ahead. We do usually have a few pre-filled if you are open to trying a fun new scent as well.

With this gorgeous hot weather we’ve been enjoying, there couldn’t be a better time to fill your home with the scent of summer. 🌞 Our Suntan candles and wax melts smell just like a fresh, sunny day—bringing back memories of sunscreen, warm sand, lake days, and soaking up every minute of sunshine.

✨ Candle Care 101 ✨

Did you know that many candle “problems” can be solved in just a few seconds? Proper candle care makes all the difference and helps your candle burn cleaner, brighter, and last longer.

🪵 Trim your wooden wick before EVERY burn.
Wooden wicks naturally develop a black, ashy tip after they’ve been burned. That charred wood won’t easily catch fire again, which is why your candle may seem like it’s struggling to stay lit.

We recommend trimming your wick to about 1/8 inch (3–4 mm) before each burn. If you don’t have a wick trimmer, you can gently pinch off the burnt portion with your fingers once the candle has completely cooled. A fresh, clean wick is much easier to light and creates a beautiful, steady flame.

⚡ Why we love electric lighters.
If you’ve ever tried lighting a wooden wick with a traditional lighter, you know it can be a little tricky! Electric arc lighters make it so much easier because they provide consistent heat directly to the wick. Simply hold the arc on the wick for a few seconds until the flame catches. They’re rechargeable, wind-resistant, and quickly become a candle lover’s best friend!

🕯️ Burn your candle long enough.
Each time you light your candle, allow the melted wax to reach the edges of the jar before blowing it out. This usually takes a few hours, depending on the size of your candle.

If you extinguish it too soon, you can create tunneling—when only the wax around the wick melts while a ring of hard wax remains around the sides. Over time, tunneling wastes wax, shortens the life of your candle, and can make future burns more difficult.

A little candle care goes a long way! ❤️ Taking just a minute to trim your wick and allowing a full melt pool will help you enjoy a cleaner burn, a stronger fragrance throw, and many more cozy evenings with your favorite Little White Kitchen Candle Company candle.
