I like to hand make one of the gifts for my kids for Christmas as something that I like to include as a part of our holiday giving. Last year I made them each a hand-stitched purse with plastic canvas and yarn. I made a cat, a full cottage house purse and a mini-cell phone cottage purse. This was a retro-inspired project that was fun to work on the evenings when our TV shows were on, and try to keep it secret.

I have a few ideas for this year (I can’t say because I know they 👀 at my IG) 😘.

I love handmade gift giving, and I love it when my kids also give me handmade gifts ( I got some sweet felted slippers last year, and art other years). I think it’s so special no matter how simple, because besides the items itself, it includes the gift of planning, thoughtfulness and time. And handmade doesn’t have to mean complicated or someone doesn’t have to be artistically gifted either, it can just be simple and sweet. I know it’s not everyone’s jam and that’s ok, but it’s something I like to do.

Make sure to avoid these 3 mistakes when creating decoupage dried flower ornaments. It’s a fun project and so pretty when they are finished, but can be tricky! Supplies can be found under the supplies highlight.

This has been one of my favorite workshops to teach! It’s fun to do and the results are so pretty! We offer this as a private event and an upcoming holiday workshop.

It’s the time of year! The store ghost is back to let you know our holiday workshops are coming and registration will be opening up next week!

I interrupt our Fall creative projects to share with you a really fun and exciting workshop coming to the studio!

I’m not quite ready for the holidays, but opening this box made me a little excited! Registration opens for holiday workshops in two weeks as we get all of our samples ready to photograph.
