It’s SWAP DAY!!! We can’t wait to see you at the Park County Fairgrounds! If you didn’t already have a chance to drop off your donations, you can drop off your craft supplies from 11:00-noon. Two years ago, the Swap started with a handful of tables and a few volunteers. The community immediately fell in love with the Swap and wanted more- more access to craft supplies while keeping those supplies out of the waste stream, more opportunities to connect with other crafters, and more chances to craft together and learn how to craft. So we listened to the community and we kept growing! Creative Reuse Montana became the organization that is allowing us to keep the Swap going and impact our community in many other ways- getting craft supplies to teachers, students, and residents at assisted living centers, hosting workshops and a free weekly adults crafting night, and keeping 15,105 pounds of craft supplies out of the waste stream through our second-hand craft shop on Main Street in Livingston. These amazing volunteers are hard at work turning bins and piles of donations of art and craft supplies into an organized swap experience! Early drop offs continue tomorrow, Friday, at the Fairgrounds noon to 3:00 and you can still sign up to volunteer! There are so many wonderful craft supplies waiting to find their next home!

Our previous venues were such wonderful hosts, but we are SO EXCITED to have this much space for the Craft Supply Swap at the Park County Fairgrounds!!! What a beautiful site to see things start transforming into the Swap and to see donations start pouring in from our early drop off sites and from donors dropping off at the Fairgrounds!

There’s still time to sign up for a volunteer shift at the Swap this week! Help make it happen! We love how many of our volunteers keep coming back again and again whether it's Swap after Swap or they volunteer regularly at the Creative Reuse Montana shop. Between the camaraderie and making a difference for our community, volunteers find so much meaning and purpose! And it’s fun scoping out all the great donations, too!

IT’S Craft Supply Swap - Livingston, MT WEEK!!!!!! Here are important times for the week and creativereusemontana shop hours!!

Take a look at the Swap Day schedule! We hope you will be able to drop off your donations at the Park Country Fairgrounds directly when we open for drop-offs on Wednesday-Friday, noon-3:00 each day. But if you can’t drop off early, you can drop off your donations on Swap Day, Saturday, from 11:00-noon.

The shop that came from the swap will be closed this week as our volunteers prepare all of the donations for you to browse! However, we are open for free casual adult crafting Mondays, 5-7pm at 129 S. Main St., even though we aren’t open for shop hours (you can shop then too!).

Attention!!! Swap Day is just one week away! Lots of opportunities for you to get involved this week. Whether you drop off supplies, help with sorting and set up, come to find your next project, tell a friend about the Swap, or help pack up after the Swap- there are so many possibilities to soak up the joy that is the Craft Supply Swap! For this swap we have 9 early drop-off sites that span 83 miles from north to south and 66 miles from east to west!!! We are so thankful for our drop-off sites who partner with us to make this possible and for our volunteers who drop off bins and pick up supplies over those three counties and SOOOO many miles! It’s all worth it because we are keeping craft supplies out of the landfill and connecting our community of crafters, artists, and makers with each other!

There’s no need for you to hold onto the guilt of not finishing a craft project. Let it go and allow someone else the privilege of completing it! Your unfinished projects are invited to be lovingly cataloged, displayed, and offered to folks who want to finish them. Leave info with the project if you're okay with being contacted by the person who takes it home and want to see progress.
