Why do I paint at night after a long day of teaching? On weekends? On breaks when I should be relaxing?

Because this is relaxing to me. I’ve spent all of fall break “working” for my small business and turning over windows for my clients. But not once did it actually feel like work. It was calm, soothing, peaceful time spent in the beautiful weather Georgia graced us with this week. For me, this was more of a break than just about anything else.

It’s time for my fall turns overs and I’m tackling 3 job sites this week! While the weather has thrown a bit of a wrench in my original timeline (this was all supposed to start Saturday), we hit the ground running today by base-coating 2 different stores.

My Italian heart was THRILLED when I got approached for this theme!

The irony was also not lost on me that I painted this the weekend that the rest of my family was out of town for said Italian family’s annual reunion that I haven’t been able to attend due to work in several years. 😂

In honor of Cow Appreciation Day, it seemed like the perfect time to reveal my first ever window painting job!

I did this last Wednesday at the Chick-fil-A of a very close family friend. I did a total of 9 windows over the course of 10 hours. I couldn’t be happier with how these all turned out and how smoothly it went, considering I’d never painted on glass before 😅

Stay tuned tomorrow when I reveal the set of windows I painted today from someone who booked me on sight while I was painting at Chick-fil-A!
