Viola marble has been quarried since the Roman Empire. It does not need your help.
It needs the right opening, the right scale, the right restraint in everything surrounding it. Zellige tile that lets it lead. Plaster walls that step back. A room that understands its role is to support the stone, not compete with it.
Material intelligence is knowing when to be quiet. And knowing exactly where not to be.

The mirror frame is cut from the same slab as the vanity.

That detail is invisible until it isn’t. The marble runs from the countertop up to the wall, frames the reflection, and stops. The plaster wraps from the walls onto the ceiling... same texture, same pigment, unbroken. The fluted vanity front is painted to disappear into the room.

Everything in this powder room earns its place or it isn’t there.

Find the cooktop. It’s there. Barely.

Induction zones etched directly into dark stone — no glass panel, no frame, no interruption. The veining runs straight through the cooking surface like the slab was never touched. Because visually, it wasn’t.
This is the kitchen that makes appliances disappear. Most designers don’t attempt it. The ones who do don’t go back.

The sconce on a fluted plaster wall is not a coincidence. It is a conversation.
Every fixture I select has to earn its wall. The texture behind it, the material it is made from, the quality of light it produces, the shadow it casts at 9pm when the overhead is off. All of it is considered before a single specification is written.
That stone sconce on smooth plaster. That brass frame around blown glass on a linen wall. The pairing is the design. The fixture alone is just a product.

The fireplace is never decorative. It’s the reason the room exists.
Stone selected for movement, not neutrality. The mantel chosen before the furniture, before the palette, before anything else. Everything else responds to it.
That’s the sequence.

The handrail is not a rail. It is a sequence of bronze forms descending a plaster wall alongside full-slab stone treads. Every element in this stairwell speaks the same language. Mineral. Weighted. Geological. When the railing becomes sculptural, the staircase stops being circulation and starts being architecture.
Would you hold this railing or just look at it.

The vanity is the quietest thing in the room. On purpose.
Scenic mural wallpaper.... landscape, trees, atmosphere.... wraps every wall and continues across the ceiling. Against it: a white stone vanity, stepped, monolithic, no hardware, no detail. One material. One form. A rattan mirror with a wavy organic edge. Yellow mimosa in a white sculptural vase.
In a room this considered, restraint is the boldest move.
