This interior, once a blank canvas, became a residence that does not shout. It smolders—a space where polarizing art and personal collections converge quietly throughout the home.

Inspired by our client’s growing collection of unique and quietly unsettling artworks—the tone for this hillside home was immediately clear. The brief called for an interior that felt masculine and undeniably cool, with a subtle nod to the effortless rebellion of James Dean. Rather than leaning into a conventional interpretation of masculinity, we allowed the client’s art collection lead the narrative. The result is an interior that feels layered and deeply personal—where vintage furniture, rare collectible design, and thoughtfully crafted bespoke details come together to create a space that is moody, expressive, and distinctly cool.

Welcome to our Hollywood Hills Residence. Titled "Laughter in the Dark"

Be sure to check out our website for more design details and photos of the space.

A custom wet bar we designed turns evening cocktails into an effortless ritual. Its doors are finished in moody blue-stained oak and trimmed in oil-rubbed bronze; the interior of the upper cabinet is lined with smoked mirror, adding a quiet glamour that catches the light.

A primary bathroom, where clean lines and beautiful finishes come together to create a modern spa-like retreat. We designed a wall-to-wall medicine cabinet provides ample storage, while a floating walnut vanity includes a lower counter dedicated to makeup. Terrazzo floors, creamy white ceramic tile, and white travertine surfaces keep the palette serene.

The new powder room takes full advantage of its compact footprint. Walls finished in moody green Roman clay set a dramatic tone, while an organically shaped mirror floats above cement tile, balancing softness with structure.
