Paulina Friedel aka PUNIAF. P.

is a natural born designer passionately obsessed with colors, textures, light, photography, construction, interior design, DIY, woodwork and power tools ;)
From a creator and owner of popular music websites back in her native Poland, to owning a successful boutique web design company in Los Angeles, she has brought strong visuals and joyful colors to many projects in various fields. Eventually the

need to create more tangible things led her to pursue home decor, wood work, finally full design and construction management.

Hi and thanks for coming to my page! After years of being involved in numerous remodeling projects for friends and family, eventually purchasing a fixer-upper in Los Angeles, becoming a mom, and hands-on overseeing construction of brand new buildings A-Z,
it felt like I had enough real life experience to pass it on. I decided to officially leave my 20 year long career in graphic design and finally share my home makeover and MacGyver level problem solving skills with more people. And that's how you're here! Message me any time (here or at http://www.puniafdesign.com ) and let's figure out how we can fix up your space. I give FREE consultations with no strings attached. I've also created a line of funky wall LED signs with varying messages, hand made with love by yours truly, so check it out at http://www.REBELlamps.com ;)

Cheers! Life's motto: DO WHAT YOU LOVE AND THE REST WILL FOLLOW

We’re officially open for the season! ✨ After refreshing, revamping, and obsessing over every single detail, Potomac Palms is ready to welcome you back.
As a designer, I believe a vacation rental should feel like a discovery, not a compromise. We’ve combined boutique hotel luxury with a vintage soul—think high-end finishes, curated eclectic decor, and an open-concept layout that actually functions beautifully for a group. No sterile spaces here; just intentional design meant to make you feel inspired the moment you step through the door.
Drop your bags, take in the textures, and stay awhile. Tap the link in my bio to book your next LA getaway directly on our site or via Airbnb! 🛋️🌿

Almost move-in time for these lucky home owners!! Now the devil's in the details.. Also, in case anyone reads it, I just cried in front of my crew out of overwhelming pride and love. Their unfailing best attitude, willingness to solve problems, staying detailed and showing off their work every time I'm there, while calling me "Chignona".. Bursting with gratitude doesn't even come close to covering how I'm feeling!! ❤️❤️❤️

There’s a specific magic that happens when the drywall goes up. One the biggest projects in our books—a full rebuild, extension, and second-story addition—is officially taking its final shape.
You can finally see the scale of the new layout. No more studs and wiring; just clean lines and those signature .
Next step: flooring and tiling!
If you feel like you've outgrown your house, but love the location.. get in touch with us ASAP.

I'm back!!!! After 24 days (!!) of school break and working through it (yeah right!?), kiddo is out of here. Where are my fellow Mom survivors? Let's go!! Oh wait, I don't quite know who I am, what I do, what day it is, but with a little bit of re-settling effort, I'll be rocking shortly, I promise!
I'm really excited for #2026❤️

Looking back at 2025 - commonly known as "not as expected" ;) - I’m incredibly grateful for the projects we tackled and the trust you placed in PUNIAF.design.

It was a year of personal and worldwide challenges and transitions, but also a lot of growth: our largest projects to date, new connections, awakenings, and a continued sense of community in my beloved West Adams.

As we head into 2026, I’m wishing you a year filled with peace, health, and spaces that make you feel good. Make those vision boards and let's go.

Cheers!
Paulina

Spent Saturday at the fair to bask in beauty and inspiration from other humans: makers, innovators, brands and design mentors. I forced my husband on this date but we both enjoyed it because what's not to like - the vibe was great and beauty was everywhere! And I have new products to show my clients!! 🥰🤓

Rain during construction TIPS below. Last week before the so-called "atmospheric river" it was all hands on deck days, framing as much of the roof layer as possible to better secure plastic cover etc. (you can't tell from the photos but there were many guys working upstairs and on the roof).
While we can't always protect the site from the weather (plastic will NOT actually do a great job when covering big areas with multiple sheets no matter how nicely you try to overlap it.. 🤷🏼‍♀️ water is water), as long as we optimize, control the damage and clean up (and dry) immediately after, it's all going to be absolutely fine.

If you're in this situation:
- do your very best to protect what's most fragile, and in some cases re-direct water to "sacrifice" areas that will be ok to dry and clean
- unplug and put away equipment, halt any unsafe work - come on - NOTHING is worth risking your workers' health (slips, falls, electrical hazards etc)
- remove water, clean, dry as soon as possible, even during a break in the rain if possible.
- the worst thing you can do is allow the water to sit in one area for days to come and not address it! Time and care are of the essence here.
- depending on the stage of the project, don't rush closing up the walls etc. before they are thoroughly dry (important!)

Next step after the rain stops - bringing in the big guns... I mean big fans!! 😜
