Good Saturday morning,

Wow!! One more week and then we are in November. How is this possible?

This next week looks to be slower (as of now), and I am here for it. After a busy week it's good to have a slower week.

Brown Butter Snickerdoodle
We love snickerdoodles in this house, and this is just an elevated version of it. With the brown butter giving it a little nutty flavor, it is delicious!

You guys loved the rice Krispy treats I had at the shed this last week so you can plan on seeing them again this week. One of the girls mentioned doing fruity pebble rice Krispy treats so you may see them at the shed as well.

Ordering will end Tuesday at noon. Pick up will be Thursday and Friday at the shed in Castorland at the end of the Merz Rd, Lowville Fairgrounds on Friday and New Bremen either day. When ordering please let me know what day you would like your items.

I will be delivering to Red Barn Meats, INC on Thursday around 1:00.

We will start with myself.

Hi, I'm Lorraine.
I grew up in Lancaster Pa in a little town called Christiana. If you are familiar with Sight and Sound, I lived about 15 minutes from there. I'm the youngest in my family with 3 older siblings and they would all say that I was the one who got away with everything😉 My parents are no longer with us, but I am so thankful for them and the heritage that they left behind.

Harlan and I met in 04 at a church retreat and like they say the rest is history. We got married in May 06 in Pa and it was a beautiful spring day. We have 4 children, Deion, Jasmine, Serena, and Avery.
The boys help us out from time to time in setting up our tables, carrying in the 50lb bags of flour, washing dishes (though that most times comes with some complaining but I don't blame them as washing dishes is not my favorite thing either😄) and their most favorite thing taste testing everything. And they are super honest in their reviews. Avery is a big help at home on bake days as Deion is working. He takes cookies off the trays and unwraps the many Reece cups for the girls. Deion has also gone several times with one of the girls to market if we have another event that day.

I have always loved to be in the kitchen growing up whether it was cooking supper, making a treat for all of us, being in the kitchen with my mom or helping my grandma make cookies I have fond memories of those times.

And it just feels right to be in the kitchen now baking alongside of my girls. This truly has been a dream for me, and we would love to take this baking a step farther but one step at a time.

We each have certain items we make, and my hands are usually in dough making breads or pie crust, macarons, caramel popcorn, and party mix and I'm the one who tries out new items.
For me market is so fun as I enjoy seeing all of you who stop by and chatting with you. I wish I could meet everyone who stops at the shed but maybe someday.

You guys have blessed us and supported us in so many ways. We are just incredible thankful for each one of you. Because you guys are what keeps us going. So, thank you!!❤

Good morning,

My week flew by and here we are again with a new menu.

This coming Saturday October 24th we will be at Lowville FD for their 40th Auxiliary Craft Fair from 10-3. We had not planned on doing this event, but we got contacted about coming to it. So come out and see us and help support all the local vendors that will be there.

Now for the menu.
Chocolate Chip Pretzel Toffee cookies are so good and one we have made before but not in a while so we decided to bring it back in rotation. The cookie is loaded with chocolate chips, toffee bits and pretzels. It's the perfect sweet and salty treat.

Then you have the classic peanut blossoms which is a big seller and one people always tend to gravitate towards and one that we like to have at vendor events.

Ordering will end Tuesday at noon. Pick will be Thursday and Friday at the shed on Merz Rd in Castorland, New Bremen either day or you can pick up from me at the vendor event on Saturday. When ordering please let me know where you would like to pick up your items and I will message you when your order is ready.

Just a reminder with the holiday season coming up we can help with your baking needs. Whether it's pies, cookies, rolls etc... we got you covered. I will also be offering cookie boxes and that information will come out the first part of November.
