My sweet little Muscovy hen decided she wants to be a mama! She is currently sitting on 17 eggs only two of which are hers and the rest are Indian runners. Luckily her eggs are a little older than the Indian runners she's been collecting so I'm hoping that everybody will hatch around the same time. I've checked a few times and she still only had 17 so I think she's done collecting and now we wait! 🥰

A little update this morning. The trays are working perfectly! They were exactly what we needed!

Today's homestead upgrade! We found trays for the quail tower! They are the perfect size and came in a 4 pack that broke...

Today's homestead upgrade! We found trays for the quail tower! They are the perfect size and came in a 4 pack that broke down to less than $20 per tray. That newspaper definitely was not a long-term solution, but I think these will work really well.

From this, to this, to this! I've been making a lot of sourdough lately! Loaves and rolls mostly. Tonight I'm going to pan up some cinnamon rolls for tomorrow morning. Been thinking about doing a cinnamon raisin loaf too! Thinking about pumping some loaves out for sale too, so anybody who's local to the Pensacola area you just let me know if you want any! 😜

Welp.. today I found this little fluff ball in the incubator with the duck eggs... Apparently I mistook one of my blue Turkin eggs for one of the blue runner duck eggs. Really glad I spotted it when I did because it was fully dried and ready to come out. So glad the chickens and ducks separated now, no more mixups.

Based off of how many unhatched eggs have been able to find and count there are definitely over 45 hatched babies in there! About 11 of them are white and a couple have a lot of white! They can't wait to get out of there!
