Things to keep in mind before purchasing a drone

Rules for flying recreational

Core Federal (FAA) RequirementsPurpose: Fly strictly for personal enjoyment and fun (no business use or compensation).

TRUST Completion: Pass the Recreational UAS Safety Test and keep the certificate with you.

Registration: Register any drone weighing 0.55 lbs (250 grams) or more at the FAA DroneZone and mark the outside ID on the drone.

Remote ID: Your drone must broadcast Remote ID information unless it is under 250g or you fly within a designated FRIA.
